Because of the Lord's GREAT LOVE, we are not consumed, for his compassions NEVER fail.
They are new every morning; great is your FAITHFULNESS.

forever God is faithful

school starts one week from today. as most of you know we moved at the end of the school year. our children will stay in the same district but will be changing schools. this change has been rough. many nights of tears. (like again last night) many positive thoughts from family and friends. but still tears. i have prayed, our family has prayed that this transition would be smooth.after a rough night, God once again gave us a new day. today we found out that grace will be with the teacher that transferred from her old school to her new. we also found out that the only little girl in her grade that she has met will be in her class. when the little girl (who happens to be our neighbor) knocked on the door with the news, i just cried. (she must think i have lost my mind).

i was once again reminded that God is faithful.

tonight we head to the big guy's new school. we are lucky that he has made friends with several guys who will be at his new school. he is not as nervous. (but i am) :)

Give thanks to the Lord
Our God and King
His love endures forever
For He is good, He is above all things
His love endures forever
Sing praise, sing praise
With a mighty hand
and outstretched arm
His love endures forever
For the life that's been reborn
His love endures forever
Sing praise, sing praise
Sing praise, sing praise

Yeah
Forever God is faithful
Forever God is strong
Forever God is with us
Forever
Forever

From the rising to the setting sun
His love endures forever
By the grace of God
We will carry on
His love endures forever
Sing praise, sing praise
Sing praise, sing praise

friends too, but he thinks she is cute? uh-oh.

so here is the story.
the mothers of these teenagers (well one to be real soon) met when they were both expecting their first children. the daddy's however have known each other since high school. they worked together and also went to college together (we won't say how long ago since one of them is about to have a BIG bday). life/jobs took us to different parts of the state. it wasn't until several years later that we were reunited in the same area.
i am so thankful this family is in our life. we always have so much fun.
but now..someone thinks that someone else is cute.
end of story.

friends.

these two girls have known each other all their life.
sometimes our busy schedules get in the way and it's a while between visits
but when they are together it doesn't matter how long it's been...
they still laugh and have the best time.
just like their momma's :-)

Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their work:
If one falls down,
his friend can help him up.
But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

did someone say SHARK TEETH?

let the games begin. every year at the beach it turns into a huge competition on who can find the most shark teeth. this year it turned into who could find the biggest!! i am not sure our total count between all of us but i bet we were close to 80. my big guy actually found a tooth from a great white shark...we took it to the shark expert at a local store and he turned it into a necklace :-)
it's funny how many people stop and watch as we are digging in the sand. what's even more funny is when they ask what you are doing and then five minutes later they have joined in too!!

your secret name.

please take a moment to watch the video

You have 3 names:

■Birth Name–the name assigned to you when you arrived in this world.
■Given Names–the names you inherit while walking in this world (positive and negative).
■Secret Name–the name granted to you by the One who made you.

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it.
- NIV Revelation 2:17

We all have one–a Secret Name that is. The Bible tells us so. Yet few of us know ours. Ignorantly, we’re stuck, caught up in the “Name Game,” searching for our true identity. Author Kary Oberbrunner takes you deep, past clichés to discover Your Secret Name and the vision God has for your life.

here come the beach pics.....

we had a wonderful week with our family and friends. the weather was perfect, the water was warm. the kids loved the ocean this year. grace decided that she wasn't afraid of the waves (and what was swimming below) and the big guy loved hunting for shark teeth. (more on that story later). wonderful memories were made. memories that will last my babies a life time.
oh, and i did manage to take a few {just a few} pics for ya! :-)

my beach read

i am so not a big reader, it's something i am trying to change. after a billion trips to the library with the kids this summer i decided i need to model being a good reader also... i picked this book to take on vacation. i really want to see the movie so my goal is to read the entire book before we get back. i started reading (just a little) and so far so good!

here is a quote i love:

"to find the balance you want, " Ketut spoke through his translator, "this is what you must become. you must keep your feet grounded so firmly on earth that it's like you have four legs instead of two. that way, you can stay in the world. but you must stop looking at the world through your head. you must look through your heart, instead. that way you will know God.
