Because of the Lord's GREAT LOVE, we are not consumed, for his compassions NEVER fail.
They are new every morning; great is your FAITHFULNESS.

Home for the Holidays

This past weekend we packed the car and headed home for the weekend. It's be so long since I have been home for a good visit. I had the best time. We celebrated my mom's birthday and had a little Pre-Christmas celebration. My parent's always buy us fun Christmas pj's to wear on Christmas Eve and give them to us the weekend before....
the kids look forward to this every year :)
We also exchange gifts with my sister's kids while we are there.
Let's say the skateboard on the hardwood floor
(while holding a can of soda was funny) right Lleyton?
We ate our favorite Pizza until we could eat NO MORE ( 26 inches)
We laughed and watched our children make the best memories
with their Grammy and Grandpa!

We even went to our old HS and watched a Bball game. The best part of the game was that I was able to see my very BEST friend from high school. I haven't seen her forever and it was great to catch up for a little bit. I sure miss her!!

We ended the weekend going to church with my parents. It was awesome to be there with my parents, my sister and her family. It has been forever since we have all been together in the place where we first met Jesus.

It was a great way to celebrate the season.

As Dorothy once said .....there's no place like home.

Show us your life...Christmas Tour of Homes

Once again I am hooking up with Kelly's Korner (check her link at the right of my blog)
for her Show us your life...Today is CHRISTmas!!! I am soooo excited to browse the links and see your family traditions and photos of your home. Thanks to all who have shared!

Welcome to my CHRISTmas Home Tour.

This is our first CHRISTmas in our new home.
I never dreamed we would have a new home this CHRISTmas.
We decided out of the blue last February to put our house on the market
and it sold in two weeks!!
It may have been a good thing not realizing this last year because it would have made me super sad knowing that was our last CHRISTmas in that house.
We were there nine years...that's alot of memories...
(my hubby laughs because i am super sentimental )
My big hopes are to find some great deals on decorations after
CHRISTmas this year so I can decorate more next year.
I ran out of decorations this year!!!
(A fun problem to have if you ask me) lol!!

This is one of my favorite Nativity sets...
it was a gift from my Mother-in-Law many years ago.

my poor tree is lacking something this year... i think i need some gold garland/twine SOMETHING asap :)

Merry Christmas!!!

tomorrow is her big day....

In June a little girl we had prayed for lost her long 3 year battle with cancer.
This story touched Grace's heart.
She prayed for her all the time and asked me quite often to check her blog.
As we read, prayed and cried for this sweet girl
(who we never had a chance to meet) we watched her hair go away.
It broke our hearts.
My Grace just couldn't understand why....
In June when our little friend received her wings from Jesus
Grace decided she wanted
to give her hair to a little girl with cancer.
We have let it grow since then without anything but a trim.
Last week I took her to my stylist to have her hair measured
and she finally has enough to cut!
She is super excited.
I am so thankful for her huge heart.
What beautiful locks she will be giving to a special little girl.
Thank you Jesus for my healthy little girl.
Please keep the Children at St. Jude in your prayers.

Show us your life {entry way}

Welcome to the last room on Kelly's Korner Show us your Life.
In a couple weeks it will be Christmas decorations!!!
That will be so much fun.
I will need a full day just to look at all the posts!
This is our entry way. (that still needs painted) Hubby painted the rooms around this area but will not get on a ladder and paint 20 feet high! Soooo when the money tree blooms again (hahaha) we will pay someone to come and paint :)

Thanks for stopping by!
Merry Christmas

wHO dEY! (well not this time)

We took the Big Guy to his first NFL game on Sunday! Lots of fun. It was planned as a guys day but I tagged along. I wanted to be there to see the excitement in his eyes :)
The weather was perfect!
Sunny and 68 in November!!!
That's just not normal football weather here in OHIO.

Even though the game didn't go our way we still had a great time.
Just the 3 of us.

show us your life {other rooms) man cave etc...

Happy Friday!
This week at Kelly's Korner Blog it's show us your "extra rooms".
Check out the link to her blog at the right side of my blog.

Welcome to the MAN CAVE.

My sweet hubby was so excited to have our basement finished so he could have his own room. (meaning the decorating is out of my control)

He used his love for guitars and has a passion for music as a way of decorating...

We all actually enjoy this space. He have 6.1 surround sound in the walls

so family movie night at our house ROCKS!

This area is the kids play area and hang out. I also watch children from home three days a week so this is also a great space for them while my kiddos are at school.

This is my scrapbook room or "chic cave" as others have called it.
