Because of the Lord's GREAT LOVE, we are not consumed, for his compassions NEVER fail.
They are new every morning; great is your FAITHFULNESS.

"Brothers and sisters, we urge you to warn those who are lazy. Encourage those who are timid. Take tender care of those who are weak. Be patient with everyone. See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people."

Pumpkin Pickin' Time!

It's hard to believe it's that time of year again. I love love love the pumpkin patch! It's one of our favorite things to do as a family. This year we headed out a little earlier than normal because the weather this past weekend was AMAZING. (last year we were in coats and hats)
As always tons of fun and most important fabulous memories were made that will last a lifetime.

Show us Your Life Friday {Kitchens}

I am a daily reader of http://www.kellyskornerblog.com/. I have been reading her blog now for several months. She is a very inspiring Christian woman. I have sat here at my computer many days reading her posts and clicking on the links to her prayer requests. I have also sat here and cried many of times.

On a happier note one thing that she posts every Friday is Show us Your Life Friday.
I love to sit here and look at the links..so many fun posts and so many cool ideas. So instead of being a "lurker" today I thought I would finally jump on board and post pictures of my kitchen. We just moved in our new home at the end of April so it is still in the works. (no paint, no curtains)

So for now this is it. I still love it. Besides our bedroom it's my favorite part of our home.

Oh and by the way if you have any COLOR ideas for the walls PLEASE PLEASE tell me!!!!
Now it's your turn! Show us Your Life..add your link to Kelly's Blog :)

this is our more formal dining area..it's located right off the kitchen. you can kind of see the transition in the picture below.

PLEASE pray for this family today and in the days to come..

ok so i am still working on organizing and decorating but i
thought i would go ahead and share a few pictures. everyone seems to wonder why i picked pink for my wall color.. (or as some have said pepto walls)
since the start of my scrapbook adventure I have loved Heidi Swapp!
(even though now Jillibean Soup has over taken over my collection)
heidi is known for her pink and black.
i have always dreamed of a pink room just for me!!
thanks to my sweet hubster for letting me have my own space!!

Heaven is the place...Steven Curtis Chapman

Heaven is the face of a little girl
With dark brown eyes
That disappear when she smiles
Heaven is the place
Where she calls my name
Says, “daddy please come play with me for awhile”

God, I know, it’s all of this and so much more
But God, You know that this is what I’m aching for
God, You know I just can’t see beyond the door

So right now
Heaven is the sound of her breathing deep
Lying on my chest, falling fast asleep while I sing
And Heaven is the weight of her in my arms
Being there to keep her safe from harm while she dreams

And God, I know it’s all of this and so much more
But God, You know that this is what I’m longing for
And God, You know I just can’t see beyond the door

But in my mind’s eye
I can see a place
Where Your glory fills every empty space
All the cancer is gone
Every mouth is filled
And there’s no one left in the orphans’ bed
Every lonely heart finds the one true love
And there’s no more goodbye
And no more “not enough”
And there’s no more enemy (no more)

Heaven is a sweet, maple syrup kiss
And a thousand other little things I miss with her gone
Heaven is the place where she takes my hand
And leads me to You
And we both run into Your arms

Oh God, I know, it’s so much more than I can dream
It’s far beyond anything I can conceive
So God, You know I’ll trust in You until I see

Heaven in the face of my little girl

{teenager}

today my baby boy turns 13th. his words were as he left for school "i'll leave you as your little kid but when i come home i will be a teenager". if he only knew how i wanted to break down in tears. i know if i type my thoughts right now i will just sit here and cry so for now i will leave you with a book he and i shared many of times.

Happy Birthday my Baby Boy!!

i love you, mommy

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I'll love you forever

A mother held her new baby and very slowly rocked him back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. And while she held him, she sang:

I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living
my baby you'll be.

The baby grew. He grew and he grew and he grew. He grew until he was two years old, and he ran all around the house. He pulled all the books off the shelves. He pulled all the food out of the refrigerator and he took his mother's watch and flushed it down the toilet. Sometimes his mother would say, "this kid is driving me CRAZY!"

But at night time, when that two-year-old was quiet, she opened the door to his room, crawled across the floor, looked up over the side of his bed; and if he was really asleep she picked him up and rocked him back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. While she rocked him she sang:

I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living
my baby you'll be.

The little boy grew. He grew and he grew and he grew. He grew until he was nine years old. And he never wanted to come in for dinner, he never wanted to take a bath, and when grandma visited he always said bad words. Sometimes his mother wanted to sell him to the zoo!

But at night time, when he was asleep, the mother quietly opened the door to his room, crawled across the floor and looked up over the side of the bed. If he was really asleep, she picked up that nine-year-old boy and rocked him back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. And while she rocked him she sang:

I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living
my baby you'll be.

The boy grew. He grew and he grew and he grew. He grew until he was a teenager. He had strange friends and he wore strange clothes and he listened to strange music. Sometimes the mother felt like she was in a zoo!

But at night time, when that teenager was asleep, the mother opened the door to his room, crawled across the floor and looked up over the side of the bed. If he was really asleep she picked up that great big boy and rocked him back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. While she rocked him she sang:

I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living
my baby you'll be
.

That teenager grew. He grew and he grew and he grew. He grew until he was a grown-up man. He left home and got a house across town. But sometimes on dark nights the mother got into her car and drove across town. If all the lights in her son's house were out, she opened his bedroom window, crawled across the floor, and looked up over the side of his bed. If that great big man was really asleep she picked him up and rocked him back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. And while she rocked him she sang:

I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living
my baby you'll be.

Well, that mother, she got older. She got older and older and older. One day she called up her son and said, "You'd better come see me because I'm very old and sick." So her son came to see her. When he came in the door she tried to sing the song. She sang:

I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always...

But she couldn't finish because she was too old and sick. The son went to his mother. He picked her up and rocked her back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. And he sang this song:

I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living
my Mommy you'll be.

When the son came home that night, he stood for a long time at the top of the stairs. Then he went into the room where his very new baby daughter was sleeping. He picked her up in his arms and very slowly rocked her back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. And while he rocked her he sang:

I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living
my baby you'll be.

Labor Day Fun?

for some crazy reason, i was thinking this weekend was to be all about enjoying the last weekend of summer? like cookouts, spending the last few days at the pool? hhmmm....we must have misunderstood!

we are in the process of having our basement finished. this weekend it's time to paint. the company said we could save $$ if we painted so we decided that we would take it on...little did i know it would be our long holiday weekend. my parents are taking the kiddos so we can start the big job. not really complaining since they just started two weeks ago and we are almost finished!!! just not the fun weekend i had planned :-)

thought i'd share a few pics. we decided to divide the space up this time around. my love wanted a theater room and i wanted my own craft room so we are super duper excited to see the
outcome. we also have a large play area and a 1/2 bath!! (and some great storage)

this view is of me standing in the play room looking into the theater room
this is MY CRAFT ROOM!! it's about 11x 19! i can't wait to start decorating!!
(and scrapping, my stuff has been packed away since we moved in April)
this view is part of the kids area. you can see the
entrance to the 1/2 bath and my craft room
another view of the kids area

last but not least the theater room...my love is soooo excited for this room!

we are also headed out to furniture shop for the theater room this weekend too (thank goodness without the kiddos, that is so not a pretty site..they are also thankful not to be here during that time! lol!!)

i'll be sure to post some final pics for you in a couple weeks!

Have a great Labor Day Weekend!
